Thirsties Diaper Covers

These are our most popular item and it only took one use for me to understand why.  The fit is beautiful and the leg gussets really work well; they contain everything without having to be so tight on my daughter’s little thighs that they cause marks.  They are so flexible that even though I chose to go a size up because my baby is in the middle of the small/medium weight range I had no problems at all.  I then tested the small and it fit better, but neither size allowed any leaks at all.

I love that they can overlap on either side, depending on which side my daughter decides has more interesting things to try and chase while I’m holding her down.  I usually have to overlap in the front, because I’ve got a long skinny girl, and trying to remember which side of a particular cover has to go first can be too much for my little brain on occasion.  Yay for no more redoing the diaper because I didn’t think ahead!  Now if I can just remember to use those great laundry tabs every time…

Now, I usually use a prefold with my covers and don’t bother using pins or a Snappi (not that a Snappi is hard to use, I’m just extra lazy ).  The small size works fine for this right now, but while using the medium cover I had to use those Snappis every time.  There is a cost to going a size up too soon.  Also, I do use fitted diapers at night sometimes and those worked great with this cover.  Since I had a bigger size, I had all the room I needed to add doublers and such, and I didn’t have to worry about tugging and tucking.

Finally, the huge range of colors is wonderful.  They have everything from pastels to brights and that makes using them even more fun.  I think my favorite is the raspberry, but the aqua and celery are also very popular.
